How do I measure for my cane?

Measuring for your cane is an easy process, but it will take two people.

1. Make sure you are wearing your typical walking shoes.
2. Stand in a natural position with your hands relaxed to your side.
3. With a yardstick or tape measure, have someone measure the distance from your wrist to the floor and round to the nearest half inch.
4. When sized properly, the handle of the cane should meet the crease of your wrist.

How much weight will my cane support?

All of our canes will support up to 250 pounds unless noted otherwise. Some canes, specifically our Big & Tall collection, will support up to 500 pounds. It should be noted that due to their hollow shaft, dual-use novelty canes such as the sword cane, should not be used for support.

How do I know which cane is right for me?

You should first ask yourself what you will be using the cane for. Will you be using the cane to travel? Do you need support for most of your weight, or do you just need a little help keeping your balance? The design of the handle can also be a deciding factor, as certain handles are more appropriate for certain situations and conditions. What is the proper way to walk with a cane?

Will Medicare pay for my cane?

Medicare will only pay for a basic cane, and only in certain situations, when purchased from a participating Medicare Provider. As we do not have a Medicare Supplier Number, you cannot be reimbursed for a cane purchased at Pro Med Warehouse. However, by not filing with Medicare, we are able to keep our business costs down, and pass our savings on to you. This way, you are able to purchase whichever cane you like, not just one that Medicare will allow.

Will you accept returned canes?

We will accept returns as long as the cane has not been modified or shortened, and is in new condition. We want you to be happy with your purchase, and unfortunately there is no benefit in a cane that goes unused. Please see our Return Policy for further details.

How long does shipping take?

We have a variety of shipping methods. Depending on package weight and destination, your cane should arrive within 7-10 business days.

Why are your prices so low?

As stated previously, we are not a participating Medicare Provider. This allows us to keep our business costs down, and pass on our savings to you.
